yes its because of ssd but apple has the best hdrwaare, PCs hdrwaare tend to be very cheap. But even if its the ssd a 1.4ghz core 2 dou still should not out perform a i7 processor even if it doesnt have ssd. Thats why PCs motherboards get fried way quicker than a mac in fact i barely hear of a mac fried motherboard maybae gpu but not motherboard. PCs trick you with specs apple trick you with design and speed.
